I think the painting is about trying really hard to be happy or appear that way. It´s about holding on to something or someone that is suppose to be right for you, but actually its holding you back and is not making you happy at all. So I guess I dont really know what inspired the painting. It´s more a reflection and me thinking about how hard it is to know if you make the right choices =)
